Zhejiang University Eye Hospital Set to Be Launched

On May 2, Zhejiang University, the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University and Topchoice Medical Investment Corporation signed an agreement to officially launch the establishment of Zhejiang University Eye Hospital. The grand total of investment is estimated to hit 1.8 billion yuan.

Zhejiang University Eye Hospital is a high-caliber non-profit hospital jointly established by Zhejiang University, the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University and Topchoice Medical Investment Corporation. It will bring into full play the scientific, technological and disciplinary strength of Zhejiang University, the medical, managerial and professional power of the 2nd Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, and the capital asset of Topchoice Medical Investment Corporation, thus offering better medical services to patients.

The area of Zhejiang University Eye Hospital will add up to roughly 50,000 square meters. The hospital will accommodate 150 outpatient clinic rooms, 80 examination rooms and 30 surgery rooms, opening up a wide scope for its prosperity.

Jin Deshui, Party Chief of Zhejiang University, said that the joint construction of this high-level eye hospital is emblematic of the implementation of the spirit of a series of important speeches made by President Xi Jinping and the tenet of the National Hygiene and Health Conference. The eye hospital will further promote the capability and efficiency of medical services and cater better to the requirements of common people for good health.
