file.php?cmd=download&id=3092857The winners of the London Book Fair International Excellence Awards were announced at a prestigious awards ceremony held on March 14, 2017 at Olympia, UK. In its 16 Awards Categories, the Academic and Professional Publisher Award went to OECD Publishing (France) while Journal of Zhejiang University-Science (JZUS) and CSIRO Publishing (Australia) were nominated for this award. It is the first time that an academic journal has been shortlisted since the establishment of this award in 2014.

+ Campus News / ZJU Researchers Discover Molecular Mechanisms for Basal-like Breast Cancer Progression [03-20-2017]

file.php?cmd=download&id=3091730Around 15-20% of breast cancers are classified as “basal-like.” This form of the disease, which generally falls into the triple-negative breast cancer subtype, is particularly aggressive, with early recurrence after treatment and a tendency to quickly spread, or metastasize, to the brain and lungs. The research team led by Prof. Dong Chenfang at the Zhejiang University School of Medicine has discovered that a metabolic enzyme called AKR1B1 drives an aggressive type of breast cancer.
