4 Research Achievements of ZJU Win China's State Science and Technology Awards

China announced the winners of China’s State Science and Technology Awards on January 8. Zhejiang University clinched 4 prizes, including 1 “sci-tech progress” (innovative group) prize, 1 “natural science” prize, and 2 “sci-tech progress” prizes.

The innovative team, led by Prof. Zheng Shusen of the School of Medicine, specializes in comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of terminal liver diseases and won the Innovative Group prize. The research project entitled “Double-K Criteria for Crack Propagation in Concrete and Promotion of Anti-crack Capacity”, led by Prof. Xu Shilang of the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, won the second-class “natural science” prize. The research project entitled “Innovation and Application of Allogeneic Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation”, led by Prof. Huang He of the School of Medicine, and the research project entitled “Technology and Equipment about Rapid Sensing of Plant-Environment Information and Real-time Monitoring Based on the Internet of Things”, led by Prof. He Yong of the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science, won the second-class “sci-tech progress” prize.
