QS Rankings Shows ZJU is among Global Top 50 for Graduate Employability

For the second time, Zhejiang University has been placed in the world’s top 50 for the employability of its graduates. In the new QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2018 released on September 12, ZJU was ranked 4th in China and 38th in the world. Our skilled, high-achieving graduates from ZJU are recognized by global employers and they excel on their fields. Our graduates benefit from ZJU’s entrepreneurial spirit, student-oriented career services and long-standing industry connections.

QS Employability rankings score four indicators: Employer Reputation (30%), Alumni Outcomes (25%), Partnerships with Employers (25%), Employer-Student Connections (10%), and Graduate Employment Rate (10%).

ZJU performs great on its Partnerships with Employers and Employer-Student Connections, which is ranked 5th and 4th globally, respectively. For another two criteria, ZJU is lagging behind only a handful of universities, including Stanford University, Politechnico di Milano, and New York University.

Taking 600 universities around the world into consideration, the 2018 QS rankings double that of last year, and expanded to a top 500 from 200 in 2016. There are 37 Chinese universities ranked within the world's top 500. "Chinese universities have excelled in producing talents that are increasingly globally competitive," said Christina Yan Zhang, China Director, QS Intelligence Unit.
