On October 27, the Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Crowd Innovation Space was officially inaugurated in Zijin Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub, a special area in west Hangzhou developed by ZJU and the regional government for technology transfer and business incubation.

The Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Crowd Innovation Space is projected to incubate roughly 60 enterprises in such fields as artificial intelligence and big data applications. The space aims to provide a series of favorable supporting policies and accelerate the application of Tencent Cloud technologies in artificial intelligence and big data to manufacturing, education, tourism, finance, medicine, and hardware. It will also promote the expeditious accumulation and expansion of cutting-edge technologies developed by ZJU and push forward the transformation and upgrading of real economy.

“The cooperation between Zijin Hub and Tencent Cloud is an integral part of the ecology of the whole area. As an essential part of the West Hangzhou Science and Entrepreneurship Corridor, Zijin Hub has long been committed to creating a sound and congenial ecological environment for the development of enterprises,” said Professor ZHAO Rongxiang, dean of ZJU’s Industrial Technology Research Institute.

Tencent Cloud will empower the crowd innovation space and its incubators with its abundant resources and cloud services in its ecosystem, offer Tencent cloud technologies and solutions, and create a Tencent cloud space and an open laboratory. In terms of talent cultivation, it will team up with ZJU to offer a Tencent Cloud CTO program and provide CTO training, thereby creating a remarkable environment for entrepreneurial incubation.

“As the first crowd innovation space in Zijin Hub, Tencent Cloud hopes to cooperate with more institutions of higher education and act as a catalyst for the rapid development of digital economy by bringing into full play its demonstrative effect,” said QING Xuehui, general manager (strategic partnership) at Tencent Cloud.
