2018-03-06

On February 28, Prof. ZOU Xiaodong, secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang University, led a delegation to visit the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

The ZJU delegation met with CUHK leaderships including Vice Chancellor and President Tuan Sung-chi, Vice-President Fok Tai-fai, and Associate Vice-President Wong Suk-ying.

The two sides exchanged a multitude of ideas on research, education, and HR management, while agreeing to further promote reciprocal development based on complementary strengths.

The delegation also visited the CUHK-ZJU joint research center for liver diseases and digestive diseases, the CUHK Integrative Medical Center, and the CUHK Department of Biomedical Engineering.

As early as in 1991, ZJU and CUHK signed a university-wide cooperation agreement, which has since ushered in a series of fruitful collaborations. The universities have established several joint laboratories and centers covering natural medicine, toxicology, advanced photonics, biomedical engineering, liver diseases and digestive diseases.
