The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics Was Founded

On January 21, 2007, the Founding Ceremony of School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Zhejiang University, was held at Yongqian Student Activity Center, Yuquan Campus. Chancellor Xi Zhang and President Wei Yang handed a school brand to the leaders of the school.

Vice-President Yunhe Pan from Chinese Academy of Engineering, Vice-Ministeres Qinping Zhao and Jianlin Cao from Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Science and Technology, Vice-Governor Deshui Jin from Zhejiang Province, Academician Jiadong Sun from Chinese Academy of Science, Professor Xuji Fan, the first head of Department of Aviation Engineering, Zhejiang University, and some related leaders from Aerospace Science and Industry Group, and Aviation Industries of China (AVIC) Group I, attended the event.
