Five Projects Won the 2006 National Prizes on Science and Technology Feb. 28, 2007
In the morning of February 27, 2007,2006 National Awarding Ceremony of Science and Technology was held at the People’s Great Hall, Beijing. There are five projects from Zhejiang University, which won commendations, one is for National Science and Technology Award, and other four for the National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards. According to news, 29 projects were awarded National Natural Science Awards in 2006, of which 2 for first prizes, 27 for second prizes; 56 National Technological Invention Awards, of which 1 for first prize; 55 for second prizes; 241 National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards, of which 1 for top prize, 20 for first prizes, 220 for second prizes; and 2 International Cooperation Awards of Science and Technology. Among the prize-winning projects for Zhejiang University, one is second prize of the National Natural Science Award, and the winner is Prof. Jingquan Yu from School of Agriculture and Biotechnology. The other four second prizes are for National Scientific and Technological Progress Awards, and the winners are: Prof. Mingjiang Ni with School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering; Prof. Youxian Sun from School of Information Science and Engineering; Prof. Jianrong Tan from School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering; and Prof. Tianxing Wu from School of Sciences. |
