18 Teachers Won the 2006 Special Government Allowance March 25, 2007
Recently, approved by State Council of the People's Republic of China, 18 teachers from Zhejiang University were elected awardees of the 2006 special government allowance. According to the news, the allowance is designed to encourage excellent scholars and experts who have made outstanding contributions to developments of society and science. At present, there are 227 faculty members and 530 retired in Zhejiang University received the allowance. The persons who won the allowance in 2006 mentioned above are: Professor Laifan Lin from School of Law, Professor Guping Zhou from School of Education, Professor Yunlu Wang from School of Humanities, Professors Zhouan Xu and Kangsheng Liu from School of Sciences, Professors Hui Yang and Qiang Zheng from School of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, Professor Yijia Cao from School of Electrical Engineering, Professor Gang Rong from School of Information Science and Engineering, Professor Yaozhi Luo from School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Professor Yibin Ying from School of Biosystem Engineering and Food Science, Professor Yingxu Chen from School of Environmental and Resource Sciences, Professor Ping Wang from School of Biomedical Engineering and Instrument Science, Professors Chunhai Shi, Xuexin Chen and Jingquan Yu from School of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Professor Jianhong Luo from School of Medicine, and Professor Deren Chen from School of Computer Science. |
