Professor Shu-sheng Liu Was Elected as a Vice-President of IOBC/APRS March 31, 2007
Recently, Professor Shu-sheng Li from School of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Zhejiang University, was elected the vice-president of IOBC/APRS, and is only one Chinese scientist in the International Organization for Biological Control of Noxious Animals and Plants (IOBC) - Asia and the Pacific Regional Section (APRS). Professor Shu-sheng Liu is a director of Institute of Insect Sciences, and his major research focuses on insect behavior and chemical bionomics, bio-prevention and integrated pest management in vegetable crops,and developments and overspread of invasion species. He has successfully presided over ten scientific projects of state-class and international cooperation. The 22nd International Conference on Entomology was held at Brisbane, Australia, on August 15, 2004, meanwhile there were five entomologists winning outstanding achievements in entomology. Professor Shu-sheng Liu was on the list as a Chinese entomologist. |
