Confucius Institute at Ritsumeikan APU Unveiled April 09, 2007
Professor WANG Yuzhi, Vice-Chancellor of Zhejiang University, visited Beppu-shi, Japan, on April 1, 2007 to attend the unveiling ceremony of the Confucius Institute at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University(APU). Professor WANG Yuzhi, Mr. Monte CASSIM, the President of Ritsumeikan APU, Mr. WU Yapeng, Consul General of the Consulate General of PRC in Fukuoka, and Mr. Nishikawa Kouji, Director of Confucius Institute at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, jointly cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. Up to now, China has set up more than 100 Confucius Institutes in 50 countries and regions around the world. At present, Zhejiang University is running 3 Confucius Institutes together with UWA (University of Western Australia), Ritsumeikan APU and University of Rhode Island in America.
