Nobel Laureate Roy. J. Glaube Was Appointed as an honorary Professor of Zhejiang University

On June 29, 2007, Professor Roy. J. Glauber, a Nobel Prize Winner in Physics in 2005, was appointed as an honorary professor of Zhejiang University. The awarding ceremony was held at the International Conference Center, Zijingang Campus. President Yang Wei issued a certificate of honorary professor and a university badge to him. Vice-Chancellor Ye Gaoxiang presided the ceremony.

After the ceremony, Professor Roy. J. Glauber gave a keynote report entitled A Century of Light Quanta. On June 28, he also delivered a lecture to the students from Department of Physics at Yuquan Campus, and the theme was Cooperative Spontaneous Emission and Scattering of Light: A Theory of Coherent Radiation Damping.
