Professors Qingrui Xu and Jianrong Tan both Are Elected as New Academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering

On December 29, 2007, Chinese Academy of Engineering announced a list for the 2007 new members. Professors Qingrui Xu from School of Management, and Jianrong Tan from School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, are elected as new members of Chinese Academy of Engineering. Chancellor Xi Zhang and President Wei Yang specially congratulated them.

According to the news, thirty-three new members of the Academy are elected in 2007, with two from Hong Kong, and one from Taiwan. Meanwhile three foreign academicians also are added. At present, there are totally twenty-five academicians in Zhejiang University, among them, 13 are for Chinese Academy of Engineering.
