One Research Proposal from Zhejiang University Was Approved by the 2008 NSFC-JSPS

On January 14, 2008, National Natural Science Fund Committee (NSFC) released a list of the 2008 NSFC-JSPS projects approved. One research proposal, entitled Durability Design Theory for Concrete Structures Based on Life-cycle Management, was approved, which is jointly proposed by Professor Weiliang Jin from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Zhejiang University, and a Japanese researcher.

There are totally 14 joint projects approved in 2008, among them 10 are for cooperation exchange, 4 for bilateral seminars. The 10 exchange projects were carried out by six universities and four institutes from China, such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, and Chinese Academy of Science, and Japanese Universities and institutes.
