On March 16, Song Yonghua, Executive Vice President of Zhejiang University, met with a delegation from the Netherlands, including Mr. van Oranje, His Royal Highness Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands, and Mrs. Anneke Adema, Consul-General of the Netherlands in Shanghai.
Song Yonghua introduced to the guests an overview of Zhejiang University, including its latest development, globalization strategy, mission, research and teaching, international partnerships and exchanges, construction of International Campus as well as major cooperation programs with the countries along the Belt & Road Initiative and the BRICS nations, in particular collaboration with the Netherlands in research and teaching. Both sides explored the prospects for further cooperation in research and teaching, intellectual property rights and technological transfer in terms of the entrepreneurial and innovative development system and the support system for innovative enterprises. Mr. van Oranje conveyed his cordial admiration for the construction and development of Zhejiang University and expressed his strong willingness to promote substantial cooperation and exchanges by introducing more celebrated universities and institutes to Zhejiang University.
During their visit, the delegation also exchanged ideas in entrepreneurship and innovation with the School of Management and the Industrial Technology Research Institute.
