Chemical Analytic PlatformOffer an open, sharing environment with technical expertise and advanced equipment management for chemistry-related research. Contact:HE Qiaohong Email:heqh@zju.edu.cn The Chemistry Instrumentation Center consists of five sub platforms, including magnetic resonance, chromatography and mass spectrometry, electron microscopy, X-ray and spectroscopy, and thermal analysis. It mainly engages in material microstructure analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis of compounds, material performance analysis, and other testing work, providing strong technical support for high-level scientific research and talent training. With the focus on the analysis and characterization technology required for the confirmation of new substances and new material structures, the platform will proceed to strengthen close cooperation with the discipline, give full play to the discipline advantages and technical strength, and build an international first-class magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry analysis center. | |
Experimental Animal PlatformSupport scientific research involving laboratory animals, from small rodents to primates. Contact:WANG Lie Email: wanglie@zju.edu.cn Located in the Zijingang campus, Laboratory Animal Center is a four-story building covering an area of 7500-squaremeter, including opens/barriers animal rearing rooms and many advanced experimental facilities for the care and feeding of animals (rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, miniature pigs, dogs, monkeys etc.) and laboratory services. The center provides standard teaching and training, production and supply of experimental animals, supports experimental research and analytical testing, such as comparative medicine, animal’s quality testing etc.It also supplies a variety of qualified experimental animals on-campus and off-campus. With the popularization and application of transgenic mice, the center studies the transgenic mice as well, from their introduction, isolation and quarantine, microbiological quality testing, to biological purification and conservation etc. | |
Agro-biological & Environmental PlatformFulfill the analytic needs in agriculture, biological and environmental researches Contact:LI Mei Email: limei7251314@zju.edu.cn The Analysis Center of Agrobiology and Environmental Sciences (ACAES) is an analysis and testing center with National Laboratory Accreditation (CMA), which consists of laboratories of biological microstructure analysis, physical and chemical analysis, and biological macromolecule analysis. The center is equipped with many advanced apparatuses with total assets of nearly 200 million yuan, such as high-end X-ray microscope, transmission electron microscope, field emission scanning electron microscope, high-resolution laser confocal microscope, ultra-high resolution mass spectrometer and a series of chromatography-mass spectrometry combined systems, nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, X-ray diffractometer, flow cytometric imaging sorter, flow mass spectrometer, ultra-high throughput sequencing system, etc. Grounded on its solid technical basis in biological micro structure analysis, material structure analysis, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics and cell analysis, ACAES is able to support the research of biology, medicine, food, agriculture, environment, chemistry, polymer materials, nanomaterials and other disciplines. Contact: YIN Wei Tel:0571-88206270 Established in 2010, Core Facilities of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (CFZSM) consists of seven sub-platforms on biochemical and molecular medicine, histomorphology, imaging, neuroscience, zebra fish, translational medicine and protein. The platform is equipped with advanced and multi-scale large instruments, including random optical reconstruction super resolution microscope, structured illumination super resolution microscope, high resolution laser confocal microscope, two-photon microscope, laser confocal microscope, living cell rotary confocal microscope, ionic conductivity microscope, digital pathological section system, flow cytometer, flow cytometer, single cell gene analysis system, liquid chromatography, and automatic protein liquid chromatography. Services provided here include technical analysis of instruments, experimental operation, biological sample processing and management, large-scale instrument training, undergraduate and graduate experimental course teaching, etc. Under the guidance of serving teaching and research, CFZSM has developed a detection system covering molecules, cells and tissues, aiming to input more impetus into development of the disciplines of biomedicine. | |
Electro-Microscopy PlatformPromote micro-structure researches that will relate the structure of materials to its properties and explore a new way to improve the properties of materials. Contact:WU Zhemin Email: zm-wu@zju.edu.cnFounded in 2012, ZJU’s Center of Electron Microscopy is also the Center of Electron Microscopy of Zhejiang Province which has served for ZJU’s departments as well as the social enterprises and institutions. Revolving around the research ofmaterial microstructure, the center develops advanced electron microscopy methods to study the microstructure of materials at the atomic scale, establishes the relationship between material structure and properties, and explores new ways to improve material properties. The center is in possession of many advanced instruments and equipment, such as spherical aberration correction transmission electron microscopes, spherical aberration correction transmission electron microscopes, environmental transmission electron microscopes, field emission transmission electron microscopes, etc. It has cleared many internationally advanced research directions, such as structural materials, catalytic materials, carbon materials, advanced electron microscopy analysis methods, and in-situ electron microscopy technology. Many of the center’s research achievements have been published in Nature, Science and other internationally famous scientific journals. | |
Drug Safety Evaluation and Research CenterConduct non-clinical safety, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics research on drugs, medical devices, health food and other varieties. Contact:YANG Xiaochun Email: yangxiaochun@zju.edu.cnThe Drug Safety Evaluation and Research Center is a non-clinical drug safety evaluation research institution certified by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC). Located in ZJU’s Zijingang Campus, the center is about 4,300 square meters, including functional laboratories of 700 square meters, SPF small animal facilities of 1000 square meters, ordinary animal facilities of 1000 square meters. It is equipped with more than 500 sets of physical, chemical and biological testing and analytical apparatuses. The center is capable of conducting non-clinical safety, pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics research on drugs, medical devices, health food and other varieties in accordance with GLP specifications. Under the goal, to achieve the first-class safety evaluation center for human health, the center takes ZJU’s disciplinary advantages and aims to assist global pharmaceutical enterprises to develop more innovative drugs. | |
Micro-Nano Fabrication CenterContact:WANG Meifang Email:nanofab@zju.edu.cn Micro-Nano Fabrication Center is an innovation platform for micro nano technology and interdisciplinary research. Founded in 2018, the center has a super clean laboratory of 1000 square meters, including the 100-level clean area of 200 square meters and the 1000-level clean area 800 square meters. The center is equipped with 33 advanced micro/nano processing and testing apparatuses, including electron beam direct writing, laser direct writing, photolithography, inductive coupling etching, magnetron sputtering system, chemical vapor deposition, atomic layer deposition, molecular beam epitaxy, button down bonding machine, silicon carbide oxidation furnace, elliptical polarization spectrometer, scanning electron microscope, atomic force microscope, etc. The center can provide micro/nano pattern preparation based on a variety of semiconductor substrate materials, and conduct film deposition/growth, dry and wet etching, the systematization and modularization process chain of characterization testing and packaging. The center is also applicable to the processing of micro/nano electronic devices, optoelectronic devices, power devices, MEMS, two-dimensional material devices, flexible/wearable electronic devices and integrated circuit chips. | |
Center of Cryo-Electron MicroscopyContact: WU Hangjun Email:wuhangjun@zju.edu.cn Founded in 2017, ZJU’s Center of Cryo-Electron Microscopy is equipped with a large number of advanced apparatuses, including freeze transmission electron microscopy, large-scale three-dimensional reconstruction scanning electron microscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy, 100kV transmission electron microscopy, photoelectric correlation deep imaging two-photon microscopy, photoelectric correlation microscopy, high-resolution photoelectric combined laser scanning confocal microscopy, and high-performance computer clusters. Grounded on the research of high-level cryo-electron microscopy, the center focuses on the frontier basic research of life science and material science to enhance its multi-disciplinary, cross scale and intelligent development.
