Home "fragrance" from Jinyun, taste buds feast

From May 17 to May 18, Zhejiang University hosted a special event named Home 'fragrance' from Jinyun, Floating to ZJU, attracting over 1,000 participants at Yaokunlou Square for a cultural and culinary celebration. 

The event was sponsored by Jinyun County Youth League Committee, jointly hosted by Zhejiang University Youth League Committee and Jinyun County Science and Technology Office, creating a grand event integrating food, culture and talent exchange. According to Lu Siying, the general manager of the event, it featured three main exhibition areas: cultural tourism publicity area, market booth area, and activity area. 

I particularly enjoyed exploring the market stalls! remarked Zheng Yingying from the College of Media and International Culture after sampling Jinyun pancakes. It's not just about tasting various local delicacies but also experiencing paper-cutting culture firsthand. 

Mechanical engineering undergraduate Zhu Junyi patiently waited in line for half an hour to savor freshly baked glutinous rice cakes. I didn't anticipate such a large turnout. Despite waiting under scorching sun rays, it was truly rewarding to indulge in such delectable cuisine. He also expressed gratitude towards busy staff members at the event. 

As a native of Jinyun county, I take great pride in showcasing my hometown's culture, shared Lu Jiahui—an undergraduate from Jinyun County—who volunteered at this event. She eagerly anticipates more local cultural exhibitions on campus in future.
