Open Day of the Tencent Video Company

When registration opened, I didn’t hesitate to sign up for Tencent Video Company’s Open Day. It was a fantastic chance to learn about the company’s products and services through various game stations. Every registered student received a welcome gift bag prepared by the company. The event took place in front of Zhejiang University Library, featuring an interactive market with game stations, information booths, resting areas, and more. Attendees who collected all the stamps had the opportunity to enter a raffle for exciting prizes.

After collecting a few stamps, the staff guided us to the meeting hall for a special event—a talk with two cast members from the TV drama Always Home. It was an amazing experience hearing Zhai Xiaowen and Yang Xizi share fascinating stories from the filming process. They began by talking about their first impressions when they joined the cast. Then, they played a game called “One Truth and One Lie,” where the audience had to guess which statement was false. When they lost, they revealed exclusive behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot. To wrap up, they surprised the audience with a fun “Kiss Kiss Shy Shy” dance challenge as a bonus.

At lunchtime, we headed to the first floor of the West Area Canteen to pick up the lunch provided by the company. After finishing our meal, we returned to the meeting hall for the next event—a session with the sound and background music creators of Nezha 2. Both were incredibly talented, skillfully combining dubbing with traditional Chinese instruments. They performed a live scene from Nezha 2, blending voice acting with the haunting sounds of the Erhu. The live performance gave me goosebumps as I listened to the powerful voices and music.

The series of events on Open Day was both fun and engaging, creating unforgettable memories for me. I sincerely appreciate every staff member and creator who made the day special by generously sharing their valuable stories with us.
