ZJU on the rise

Zhejiang University continues to ascend global rankings as it prioritizes the international strategy. The University is ranked 68th in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings 2019.

The QS World University Rankings evaluate universities based on six indicators, namely Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citations per faculty, International Faculty Ratio and International Student Ratio.

Six universities from the Chinese mainland have claimed a place among world top 100 universities. Of the 14 Chinese universities that make the world top 400, 10 rank higher than they did last year. Up 19 spots from last year, ZJU is the fastest climber among them.

ZJU is ranked among the world’s best for 28 subjects, including places in the global top 50 for chemical engineering, civil engineering and electrical engineering, and the top 100 for nine other subjects.

Situated in the dynamic city of Hangzhou, ZJU takes pride in its history of seeking truth and pursuing innovation. Within just four years the University has jumped 76 places, a reflection of its determination to embrace the world and make a difference.
