2018-06-10

Zhejiang University has recently been announced as the host of the IEEE 2020 Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM 2020). The biennial SAM Workshop will be held at Hangzhou Jinxi Villa on June 8-11, 2020. The call for papers is now open on the official website.

The SAM Workshop focuses on the state-of-the-art developments in the field of sensor array and multichannel signal processing. Previous workshops have been held in the United Kingdom, Brazil, Israel, Germany, Spain, and the United States. This is the first time that the workshop has been held in China. As in previous years, SAM 2020 will feature paper presentations, special topic sessions, and plenary speakers.

"We believe Zhejiang University provides a great environment for the global IEEE community to gather and share the latest research while also taking advantage of all the extra-curricular opportunities made available by Hangzhou," says Professor SHI Zhiguo from ZJU’s College of Information Science & Electronic Engineering, who is general co-chair of SAM 2020 along with Professor Martin Haardt from TU Ilmenau, Germany.

The rest of the SAM 2020 Committee includes Technical Co-Chairs André L. F. De Almeida and HE Qian, Special Sessions Co-Chairs HUANG Lei and GU Yujie, Finance Chair YANG Xiaopeng Yang, Publicity Chair Antonio De Maio, Publication Chair CHEN Bo and Local Arrangement Chair CHEN Junfeng.

“Internationalization is very important for promoting the Double First-class Initiative. Academic and cultural exchanges will help people from all over the world to know more about the development of China as well as ZJU,” says Professor YANG Jianyi, dean of College of Information Science & Electronic Engineering.
