ZJU-Wanke New Energy Joint Research Center launched
Jointly established by ZJU’s College of Electrical Engineering and Wanke New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Wanke Energy”), ZJU-Wanke New Energy Joint Research Center was unveiled on Yuquan Campus on Sept. 14.
The Center aims to promote technology transfer and talent training in the field of new energy research. “Integrated platform for intelligent energy operation enjoys a bright prospect,” said WANG Ruifei, secretary of the Party Committee of the College of Electrical Engineering on the launching ceremony. “It’s important that we combine our research strengths with needs of the energy industry.”
ZHANG Shunke, chairman of Wanke Energy, emphasized three key words in his talk: focus, openness and complementarity. “With research focus on the integration of AI, IoT and energy operation service, the Center will give full play to the complementary strengths of both sides.”
Professor SONG Yonghua, fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK) was appointed Chief Advisor of the Center and Associate Professor DONG Shufeng the Director.
