Prof. LIU Xu elected SPIE Fellow

Recently The International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) announced the 2019 SPIE Fellows. Prof. LIU Xu from the College of Optical Science and Engineering scooped this special honor.

Prof. LIU Xu is recognized for his remarkable achievements in the development of the first liquid crystal light vale & the large screen full color projection display in China, and the new optical engine for the liquid crystal on silicon projector.

SPIE was founded in 1955 to advance emerging technologies through interdisciplinary information exchange, continuing education, publications, patent precedent, and career and professional growth. Each year, SPIE promotes Members as new Fellows of the Society. Fellows are Members of distinction who have made significant scientific and technical contributions in the multidisciplinary fields of optics, photonics, and imaging.
