2019-06-19

Released today, the QS World University Rankings 2020 positions Zhejiang University 54th in the world. Up from 68th last year, ZJU again sees its rise in global university rankings.

Aiming to make a positive difference in global society, the University seeks to improve the quality of education, research and service to society through its internationalization efforts. Prof. HE Lianzhen, ZJU's vice president international, believes ZJU's rise in university rankings just reflects such improvement. “Over the past couple of years, most of the top universities in China started focusing on internationalization, and I would say ZJU has been a fast-mover,” remarks Prof. HE.

According to the QS World University Rankings, ZJU has been among the world's top 100 since 2018. This year, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and University of Science and Technology of China maintain their positions as the world's top 100, with five of them moving up in the ranking.
