ZJU teams shine in 1st “Intel Cup” China Postgraduate AI Innovation Competition

On November 24, the grand final of the 1st “Intel Cup” China Postgraduate AI Innovation Competition was concluded in Deqing City, Zhejiang Province. Zhejiang University performed remarkably, clinching a total of six prizes.

 “Holding competitions in the field of artificial intelligence among college students is an integral part of serving the national entrepreneurship and innovation strategy and stimulating the innovative potential of young students. I hope that students will integrate the passion and power of scientific and technological innovation into the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and forge ahead,” WU Xiaocheng, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee of Zhejiang University, said in his welcome address.

As a pioneering competition in the field of artificial intelligence for Chinese postgraduate students, China Postgraduate AI Innovation Competition has been included in China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Competitions. This competition is themed on “AI Empowering, Innovation Leading” with a view to cultivating innovative and inter-disciplinary high-end talents and providing support for the sound development of artificial intelligence in China. 

A total of 1217 teams from 193 universities across the country signed up for this competition, with 6 First Prize winners, 11 Second Prize winners and 36 Third Prize winners. It was organized by Children & Youth Science Center affiliated to China Association for Science and Technology and hosted by Zhejiang University under the guidance of China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center.
