Zhejiang University has launched a new CREATE Action Plan aimed at providing a strategic direction to the various global endeavours undertaken in the University.
Through a collaborative exercise involving multiple administrative offices,the Action Plan, comprised of six pillars which intentionally intersect in scope and goals to promote interactions and reap the benefits of global reach, was developed to meet the overaching goal of ZJU as a world-class university.
Six objectives and the related actions, including measures of success over the course of the next three years, are set out in the Plan.
Speaking at the launch, President WU Zhaohui said the University was at a critical stage of its development, global engagement is an important propeller to advance its mission to serve society locally, nationally and globally.
Closing the launch, REN Shaobo, Secretary of CPC Committee of ZJU, said that while ZJU was“making some achievements” – highlighting around 200 institutional partners of the University across the globe – there was still much work to be done to establish in-depth mechanismic collaborations.
