Wang Bangbing Participates in China's 32nd Scientific Expedition to Antarctica

As a crew member of a fixed-wing aircraft, Wang Bangbing, an associate professor of the School of Earth Science, Zhejiang University, participated in China’s 32nd scientific expedition to Antarctica on Chinese icebreaker “Xuelong”. Apart from gathering data, Wang was also involved in processing and explaining radio-echo sounding data.

One of the highlights of this scientific expedition to Antarctica was to carry out airborne geophysical detecting in Princess Elizabeth Land near China’s Zhongshan Station. According to preliminary data, researchers have discovered the largest rift beneath the ice in the world.
