On the morning of January 29, Zhejiang University and ZTT Group signed an agreement to establish Zhongtian Marine Systems Co. Ltd.. As one of the pioneering research institutions to carry out research into core technologies regarding the seafloor observatory network in China, ZJU has made breakthrough achievements in underwater junction boxes and accumulated an abundance of experience and technological capabilities.
Prof. Yang Huangyong extended his cordial welcome to Mr. Xue Jiping, President of ZTT. He pointed out that the seafloor observatory network fits in with the strategic demands of China’s oceanic development and plays a decisive role in promoting the development of marine technologies. He believed that the establishment of Zhongtian Marine Systems Co. Ltd. will be of enormous value in boosting the development of seafloor observatory technologies in China. Xie Shuhong, Engineer-in-chief of ZTT Group, said that this partnership with ZJU will be of immense strategic significance to the industrialization of the seafloor observatory system and the expeditious and sound development of China’s marine detecting industry. As a leading expert in charge of the research team of junction technology in the seafloor observatory network, Prof. Yang Canjun of ZJU’s School of Mechanical Engineering reviewed fruitful cooperation between ZJU and ZTT Group and expressed his absolute confidence in future partnership. Xue Jiping also hoped that Zhongtian Marine Systems Co. Ltd. will have a very promising future.
