Wenqin Art Troupe Performs in Australia

At the invitation of the Confucius Institute at the University of Western Australia (UWA), Zhejiang University Wenqin Art Troupe put on a series of performances in Australia, starting on February 9, 2016. The performances were greeted with warm applause in the UWA community.

On February 12, the troupe gave a special performance at the Great Southern Grammar School in Albany. Over 700 middle school students watched the performance. They were amazed by the brilliant performance and developed a keen interest in Chinese culture.

The troupe was also invited to the Perth Chinese New Year Fair and their performance enjoyed massive public acclaim among overseas Chinese.

The Department of Public Physical and Art Education of ZJU signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the School of Music and the School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health at UWE to establish partnerships.
