ZJU and UWA Launch Joint Program in Clinical Medicine

On February 29, Prof. Zheng Minghao, Associate Dean for International Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, paid a special visit to the School of Medicine, Zhejiang  University to put into practice the joint program in clinical medicine which was initially proposed in November, 2015.

Both parties agreed to enroll approximately 20-30 students in September this year. The program will be adopted on a “1+1.5 (UWA) + 2.5” basis and students will obtain two bachelor’s degrees: one in clinical medicine at ZJU and the other in biomedicine at UWA. Students will also do their internship for 4 to 8 weeks in affiliated hospitals of UWA. ZJU’s School  of Medicine will also dispatch full-time staff to assist in the administration of student work. This program will be of supreme importance to cultivating high-caliber talents with global visions in the medical field.

In late March, the School  of Medicine will pay another visit to UWA to delve into specifications regarding the curriculum and mutual recognition of credits.
