2016-03-22

The select list of the 12th batch of the Recruitment Program for Young Professionals was officially unveiled yesterday. Zhejiang University recruits 33 outstanding scholars, thus ranking 1st among China’s institutions of higher learning and research institutes.

To attract young talents, ZJU renders massive support in various aspects, such as paychecks, research funds and housing. In 2014, it inaugurated the Talent Introduction & Cultivation Award (the “Bo Le” Award) with a view to encouraging organizations and individuals to get actively involved in talent matters.

On the select list are two young scholars born in the 1990s, which rivets much public attention. One of them is Yang Shu at ZJU, who engages in core technologies and physical mechanisms in Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor devices.
