China Donates A Collection of Yuan Dynasty Paintings to Free University of Berlin

    “Experience China”, a serial cultural event, kicked off in Berlin, Germany on July 5 to bring Chinese arts and culture to the German public. This event was co-organized by the State Council Information Office and the Chinese Embassy in Germany.

    At the opening ceremony, Huang Kunming, Executive Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, donatedA Collection Of Yuan Dynasty Paintings to the Free University of Berlin. This book is part of series on ancient Chinese paintings compiled by Zhejiang University and Zhejiang Bureau of Cultural Relics. Together with A Collection of Song Dynasty Paintings, A Collection of Yuan Dynasty Paintings is hailed as the most authoritative and complete compilation of paintings of the Song and Yuan dynasties, which have immense value in areas such as art connoisseurship and collecting. Both collections have been acquired by world-renowned institutions, among them are UNESCO, the United States Library of Congress, the German National Library, the British Library, and the French National Library.
