School holds graduation: 63 intn'l students receive MBBS degrees

On March 21, Zhejiang University School of Medicine celebrated the Graduation Ceremony for 63 MBBS international students in the Class of 2018.



LUO Jianhong, ZJU’s vice president, delivered a passionate speech offering his cordial congratulations to every graduate.

“You have completed your task at this stage, but becoming a qualified doctor remains a long and arduous journey for you. I hope that you will pass on what you have acquired at ZJU and promote it to a wider arena,” said Luo in his speech.

Therese Hesketh, a professor in the Department of Public Health, shared with the graduates her success story as a doctor. She pointed out that a qualified doctor should be well equipped with the ability to dispel the anxiety of patients and their families, in addition to superb medical skills.

Hesketh also stressed that her experience in studying medicine had enriched her life and brought her more happiness. She said it was worthwhile to dedicate time and resources to the medical field.

ZJU offers a six-year Medical Bachelor & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) Program. With innovative courses of high quality, the program aims to help students acquire an extensive medical knowledge and lay a solid foundation for their further study.
