A brief introduction to ZUMAA

Today is Museum Day of 2019. There might be no better way to celebrate the Day than to take a trip down to a nearby museum. Luckily, ZJUers will soon have one close enough. Located in the southwestern end of the Zijingang Campus, the Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeology (ZUMAA) is expected to open on Sep. 8, 2019.

Basic facts about ZUMAA

- A teaching museum with strong focus on liberal education of art history.  

- Floor area of 25,000 square meters

- Four exhibition galleries meeting or exceeding the recommedations of the American Alliance of Museums and the specifications of leading international museums  

- The Wen C. and Constance Fong Library，a specialized art and archaeology library with an area of 2,000 square meters for holding approximately 160,000 volumes.
