3rd International Youth Forum on the Belt and Road held in Suzhou

On December 28, 2019, the 3rd International Youth Forum on the Belt and Road was held in Suzhou. It was co-organized by Zhejiang University Academy of International Strategy and Law,National Judges College, Zhejiang University Guanghua Law School and the International Academy of the Belt and Road, and co-hosted by Suzhou Intermediate People’s Court and Suzhou Association of Judges.

“In the process of international cooperation, inclusiveness and inter-connectedness are essential to attaining the ultimate goal of achieving a win-win situation in an intensive manner. The Belt and Road Initiative is aligned with the current trend of building a community of shared future for mankind. The world peace and well-being will be promoted by means of cooperation in trade, investment, finance, science, technology and culture,”said SHEN Deyong, director of the Committee for Social and Legal Affairs of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), at the forum.

LAN Shaomin, secretary of the CPC Suzhou Municipal Government, stressed the importance of justice to the Belt and Road Initiative and encouraged youngsters to participating actively in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative with a global vision and a liberal mind. 

Zhejiang University has been long committed to the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, including the establishment of the Academy of International Strategy and Law and the hosting of the International Youth Forum on the Belt and Road in 2017.
