Successful outcomes: career survey shows 97.65 percent of Class of 2019 employed or furthering their education

The data is in and the numbers make us proud: According to Zhejiang University Career Outcomes Survey: Class of 2019, undergraduate and graduate students report impressive outcomes. They leave ZJU primed to land employment, succeed in their careers or pursue more advanced degrees.

The survey was conducted by the Center for Career and Professional Development. The survey provides insight into the employment or continuing education status for Zhejiang University undergraduates and graduates. Additionally, the data provides detailed employment information, salary statistics and graduate school information.

This report examines career outcomes of a total of 11,948 members of the Class of 2019 (5,605 undergraduates and 6,342 graduates who received their degree).

ZJU undergraduate students:

 - 96.54 percent are either employed or entering graduate school.

 - The average annual salary of our 2018 baccalaureate graduates is RMB149,000, compared to national average RMB77,076.

Graduate students:

 - 98.63 percent are either employed or continuing their education.

 - The average annual base salary of 2019 master’s and doctoral graduates is RMB185,700 and RMB193,800.
