2020-01-17

Zhejiang University closes for the Winter Break Jan. 18, 2020 - Feb. 15, 2020. The University will reopen on Feb. 16, 2020.

Wondering what to do with your free time over winter break? ZJU Global Communications asked faculty and staff across the university for some recommendations.

Here are some suggestions to fill your free time.

Enjoy time off with family and friends

2020 winter break includes Chinese Spring Festival, one of the important holidays for Chinese. It is a time to be home with family, chatting, drinking, cooking, and enjoying a hearty meal together.

Head outdoors

It's (almost) never too cold to get the benefits of exercising outdoors. Especially during this holiday, we're probably going to indulge a bit, whether it's through alcohol, hot pot, or carb-heavy side dishes. Since walking is an excellent form of cardio and doesn't require a gym membership, special equipment, or expensive accessories, it's a great option to burn off these extra calories.

Check out the library

How enjoyable it will be is to read a book in a cozy, warm sofa during the break. it doesn’t matter that the book is fiction, love story or biography of famous people. Just hope it will get you turning pages while keeping your mind sharp for the start of classes in Febuary.
