Abstract:
Many proponents of Bayesianism it as giving general norms governing how we should revise our beliefs in the light of new evidence. I argue for skepticism about the scope of Bayesian norms, arguing that their range of application may be restricted to a rather narrow range of cases. I examine other ways in which Bayesianism may be taken as a guide to our doxastic processes.
