Zhejiang University and Politecnico di Milano ink MoU online

On June 20, Prof. HE Lianzhen, vice president of Zhejiang University, and Prof. Giuliano Noci, vice rector of the Politecnico di Milano(Polimi), signed a university-level MoU via video conferencing.

Vice President He reviewed the fruitful cooperation developed between the two institutions in teaching, research and innovative design since 2012 when the first university-level agreement was signed. “We look forward to amplifying the impact of our partnership based on our common concerns and identifying new areas of collaboration, altogether we can make greater contributions to knowledge innovation and global sustainable development,” she added. 

Vice Rector Giuliano Noci pointed out that Polimi attaches much importance to scientific and technological innovation as well as cooperation with China. “I do believe that in the future, we will be able to strengthen our friendship, nurture our cooperation, and make concrete steps forward in terms of giant projects,” he said.

A discussion session was held regarding cooperation in the field of design and urban planning. Participants included Prof. SUN Lingyun from the ZJU College of Computer Science and Technology, Assoc. Prof. LIU Cui from the ZJU College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Prof. Gaetano Cascini from the Polimi Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Assoc. Prof. Carolina Pacchi from the Polimi Department of Architecture and Urban Studies. The session was chaired by LI Min, director of the ZJU Office of Global Engagement.
