The Global AgriInno Challenge 2025, co-organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Zhejiang University, and Pinduoduo, is now in its thrilling final phase. This flagship initiative empowers youth-led startups to scale digital and technological solutions for sustainable agrifood systems worldwide. This year’s theme, Harnessing Emerging Technologies and Digital Public Infrastructure for Sustainable Agrifood Systems, focuses on advancing climate resilience, strengthening supply chain efficiency and ensuring nutritional security. Anchored in the Four Betters: Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Environment, and a Better Life, the Challenge seeks to drive transformative change through innovation. The 2025 edition attracted a record-breaking 519 applications adopted in 97 countries. From this remarkable pool, nine youth-led innovation solutions have been selected for their outstanding potential to reshape agrifood systems and create sustainable, scalable impacts. The selected innovative solutions are: • SiloSense (Kenya | Better Nutrition) • Smart Farming with Solar-Powered Infrastructure for Smallholders (Uganda | Better Production) • Hanhai Miracle - AI-Enabled Bio-Based Desert Sustainable Agriculture Solution (China | Better Nutrition) • RIFFAI × Enable Earth: Long-term Observation of avoided emission from crop burn attempt in Southeast (Thailand | Better Environment) . • SafeSip (East Africa | Better Production) • Swine Herd Real-time Guard “Battle” (China | Better Production) • AgroData Connect (Colombia | Better Production) • High-altitude balloon technology for smarter, more sustainable farming decisions (Hungary | Better Environment) •PlantPulse Patch (United States | Better Production) What’s Next The finalists will take part in an intensive Innovation for Good training programme, 48 hours of mentorship, technical coaching, and pitch preparation. International Sports Video Contest About:In celebration of the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games in September, Zhejiang University has launched an international sports video contest that calls on college faculty, students and alumni from around the world to show their sportsmanship through short self-made videos.What we’re looking for:All sports-themed videos are welcome. About China-Africa Audio Visual FestivalThe China-Africa Audio Visual Festival is organized by the College of Media and International Culture and Institute of Radio, Television, and Film at Zhejiang University. Supported by the Bureau of International Cooperation at the National Radio and Television Administration, PRC, it aims to facilitate cultural interactions and form a community of film and video makers, scholars, and students who are passionate about advancing mutual understandings between China and Africa. This year, the festival will coordinate campus screenings among twenty universities and junior-high schools in China and Africa from March to May, 2023. Accepted works will be included in the festival screening list for partner schools to choose from, and selected filmmakers will be invited to participate in the post-screening Q&As and workshops. Eligibility and Requirements1. The length of audio-visual works should be between 10 to 120 minutes, including but not limited to narrative stories, documentaries, animations, and experimental videos2. The subject matter of the works should be related to African and/or Chinese culture, society or history3. All the works should include English subtitles4. World Asian Case Competition 2019The Academy of Asian Business (AAB) is pleased to announce the 2019 World Asian Business Case Competition, "How Asian Brands Soar". This is the annual case competition organized by AAB that invites college students to write up and present an exciting Asian business case on how it turned its small start into such a tremendous success. Applicants are invited from universities and colleges all around the world. Conference theme: "Creating unforgettable, lifelong experiences for students"Who: College students in teams of 2-4Focus:Asian brands that have achieved significant success and became globally powerful brands, or Asian brands that became globally renowned by serving consumers at the bottom of the pyramid.You can choose a company or brand from any Asian country or the country for which your team represents.
