Dr. Yu Guanding Wins IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award

Dr. Yu Guanding, an associate professor of the College of Information Science & Electronic Engineering, Zhejiang University, received the IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award 2016 of the prestigious IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc), for his strong publication record and active participation in conference activities over the last three years. The award was established in 2001 with the aim of honoring capable researchers aged 35 or below. This year, six young scientists were awarded.

In the past 2 years, Dr. Yu Guanding has engaged in research in cutting-edge 5G communications, including energy-efficient communication and green networks, device-to-device communications, full-duplex communications, LTE in unlicensed spectrum, and mobile edge computing, and participated in various state-level projects. He has also published 15 papers in IEEE leading journals. Meanwhile, he is serving as a guest editor or an editor of 5 IEEE journals, including IEEE JSAC, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Wireless Communications, IEEE TGCN and IEEE Access.
