Prof. Luo Liqun Speaks in Qizhen Global Vision Lecture Series

On October 26, Dr. Luo Liqun, a professor of biology from Stanford University, delivered a speech tilted “Great Discoveries in Neuroscience”. This speech is part of Qizhen Global Vision Lecture Series in celebration of the coming 120th anniversary of Zhejiang University.

In his lecture, Prof. Luo introduced his single-author textbook—Principles of Neurobiology, shared with the audience a series of breakthroughs and cutting-edge research in brain and neural sciences in the past 100 years, and inspired young researchers to contribute all they can to break down prejudices and make objective analyses in scientific research.

Prof. Luo has served on the editorial boards of several scientific journals, including Neuron, eLife, and Annual Review of Neuroscience. He is recipient of the McKnight Technological Innovation in Neuroscience Award, the Society for Neuroscience Young Investigator Award, the Jacob Javits Award from National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, HW Mossman Award from American Association of Anatomists, and the Lawrence Katz Prize. He is a Member of the National Academy of Sciences and a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
