Delegation of University of Melbourne Visits Zhejiang University

On the morning of November 8, Ren Shaobo, Vice Executive President of Zhejiang University, met with a delegation of the University Melbourne led by Prof. Margaret Sheil, the University’s Provost, and Prof. Simon Evans, the University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor (International).

Ren Shaobo pointed out that Zhejiang University places much emphasis on its partnership with the University of Melbourne and plans to expand cooperation in other new fields, including pharmacy, agronomy and big data. Margaret Sheil also expressed her hope for more collaborative programs in new fields. She also showed keen interest in Zhejiang University’s International Campus in Haining and looked forward to launching a joint program there.

It’s consistently ranked among the leading universities in the world, with international rankings of world universities placing it as number 1 in Australia and number 33 in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-2016).
