President Wu Zhaohui Meets with President of the University of York

On March 30, Wu Zhaohui, President of Zhejiang University, met with a delegation from the University of York led by Vice-Chancellor and President Koen Lamberts.

The two presidents held a talk about the prospects for further enhancing substantial cooperation in more fields and concurred that the two universities should set up a collaborative platform as soon as possible―ZJU-York Joint Research Center―so as to promote research partnerships. Meanwhile, both sides will expand student exchange programs in diverse fashions.

Founded on principles of excellence, equality and opportunity for all, the University of York opened in 1963. Since then it has become one of the world's leading universities, carving out a reputation as an academic powerhouse where a clear focus on excellence has secured national and international recognition alongside longer established institutions. Our university signed a cooperation agreement with the University of York in 2003. More than 30 students participate in short-term intensive programs on an annual basis.
