The 45th International Exhibition of Inventions-Geneva was held between March 29 and April 2. The exhibition was founded in 1973 under the patronage of the Swiss Federal Government and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Roughly 1,000 inventions from more than 40 countries and regions, including 83 inventions from mainland China and 14 from Hong Kong, were on display at this exhibition.
The Industrial Research Institute of Zhejiang University submitted three inventions for this exhibition. Smart mouse-Pipeline Doctor by a research team from the College of Control Science and Engineering won a special award; Pilot-assisted Hydraulic Load Control Valve Using Double Feedback Principle by a research team from the School of Mechanical Engineering won a gold medal; and Novel Material and Its Application for Effective Crack Control and Restoration in Mass Concrete Structures by a research team from the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture won a silver medal.
