Speaker: Dr. Lei Cao, a tenured associated professor of College of Medicine in Ohio State University. Her research interest has been environment-gene interactions with specific focus on brain. Her recent work has revealed a brain-fat axis linking physical and social environment to the regulation of metabolism and cancer. She has published in leading journals including Cell, Nature Medicine, Nature Genetics, and Cell Metabolism. She also has patents of novel technology for gene therapy. She is currently principle investigator of four NIH grants.
