Mr Arne Carlsen was Director of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) from June 2011 to June 2017, where he led UIL’s work in fostering lifelong learning in UNESCO’s 195 Member States. His career demonstrates a long-standing commitment to adult and continuing education.
