On September 24, Zhejiang University welcomed a delegation from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), led by Anja Hallacker, Director of LMU’s International Office. The delegation was warmly received by LI Min, Director of the Office of Global Engagement and Dean of International College, along with AI Ni, Deputy Director of the Office of Global Engagement.

LI Min extended a heartfelt welcome to the LMU delegation, and both sides celebrated a decade of fruitful collaboration. The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of their decade-long partnership and to engage in in-depth discussions on a range of topics, including high-level mutual visits, faculty and student exchanges, joint degree programs, strategic partnership fund, and international conferences.
During the meeting, LI Min highlighted some of Zhejiang University’s key initiatives, such as the Sino-German Sustainable Development Forum, the SDG Global Summer School, and the Global Research Immersion Program for Young Scientists in the Yangtze River Delta. She expressed enthusiasm for continuing to work hand-in-hand with LMU to create new milestones in Sino-German collaboration and to deepen the strategic partnership.

Anja Hallacker shared updates on LMU’s latest developments in curriculum design and its ongoing collaborations with Chinese institutions. She emphasized LMU’s commitment to fostering pragmatic cooperation with Zhejiang University and encouraging more faculty and student exchanges as well as deeper research collaborations to advance the bilateral partnership.
The LMU delegation also toured Zhejiang University’s Zijingang and Yuquan campuses where they met with representatives from the College of Computer Science and Technology, the School of International Studies, and the Haining International Campus.

This visit marked another step forward in the dynamic relationship between the two institutions, promising greater collaboration and shared success in the future.
