ZJU President MA Yanming meets NUS delegation to deepen cooperation

On March 14, MA Yanming, President of Zhejiang University (ZJU), met with a delegation led by Tan Eng Chye, President of the National University of Singapore (NUS), for talks aimed at advancing collaboration between the two universities.

During the meeting, MA Yanming praised the long-standing and productive partnership between ZJU and NUS. With 2027 marks the 30th anniversary of the partnership between the two universities, he expressed hope that both sides would take this opportunity to strengthen institutional cooperation in areas including top-tier talent development, interdisciplinary research, and the cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems.

Tan Eng Chye spoke highly of the progress the two universities have made together over the years. He said NUS places great value on its friendship with ZJU and looks forward to expanding collaborative initiatives that will benefit students and faculty while bringing fresh momentum to the long-term development of both universities.

During the visit, Executive Vice President WANG Lizhong, Vice President LI Xiaoming, and Associate Vice President GU Zhen joined representatives from relevant schools and colleges in further discussions with the delegation on broadening cooperation and building greater consensus across a range of fields.

The NUS delegation also met with LI Jianshu, Director of the Institute of Advanced Study in Mathematics, to explore potential cooperation in the field of mathematics.
