Associate Vice President GU Zhen meets with a delegation from HSE University

On March 30, Zhejiang University received a delegation from the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University), led by Vice Rector Dmitry Kovalenko. Associate Vice President GU Zhen met with the delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged updates on their respective institutional development, academic strengths, and distinctive features, and explored future directions for collaboration. They noted that 2026 and 2027 have been designated as the China-Russia Years of Education, and expressed their shared expectation to seize this opportunity to advance practical cooperation in higher education. The two universities agreed to strengthen cooperation in youth exchanges and talent cultivation, expand two-way mobility, and promote collaboration in fields such as aerospace and area studies.

Following the meeting, the two universities held a cooperation roundtable. Representatives from Zhejiang University’s School of International Studies and School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, along with their counterparts from HSE University, shared updates on the development of disciplines and schools. They also held in-depth discussions on joint student training programs, the development of international research platforms, and summer school initiatives.
