From May 5 to 8, Professor LIANG Junying, Director of the Office of Global Engagement and Dean of the International College at Zhejiang University, led a delegation to visit Stanford University, the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). The visit aimed to strengthen practical cooperation with leading U.S. partners in areas including sustainable development, student mobility, and joint education programs.

At Stanford University, the delegation met with Professor Scott Rozelle, Co-Director of the Stanford Center on China's Economy and Institutions (SCCEI) and recipient of the Chinese Government Friendship Award. During the visit, the School of Public Affairs at Zhejiang University and the SCCEI signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance future collaboration.
The delegation also visited the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, where they met with Dean Arun Majumdar, and Professor CUI Yi, Faculty Director of the Sustainability Accelerator. The two sides discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation around the Global Challenge and other sustainability-oriented initiatives.
In a meeting with Jeff Wang, Associate Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, the delegation introduced Zhejiang University's flagship programs, including the Global Summer School on Sustainable Development. The two sides also explored new ways to encourage more American students to particiate in academic exchange programs in China.
The delegation also toured Denning House to learn more about Stanford's Knight-Hennessy Scholars program and its approach to interdisciplinary student engagement.

At UC Berkeley, LIANG Junying and her colleagues met with Henry Tsang, Assistant Dean of Berkeley Extension, to discuss concrete models for two-way student exchange and joint training programs.
At Georgia Tech, the delegation met with Professor Bernard Kippelen, Vice Provost for International Initiatives, along with representatives from the Office of International Education and the Office of International Affairs. Building on the consensus reached earlier between the presidents of the two universities during the World Economic Forum in Davos, both sides explored opportunities for collaboration in student innovation and experiential learning.
